A bit about me... |
I am thrilled to be teaching Grade 5 this year!
I have been teaching with Greater St. Albert Schools for 12 years, and I was an Educational Assistant in our school district for 7 years, prior to getting my After Degree in Education. I've taught kindergarten, grades 4, 5 and 6 and the music program - loving the students at each grade level. I feel so blessed to be able to go to school each day, to teach and watch young minds shape and mold into wonderful readers, writers, mathematicians, musicians and artists. I am grateful to have the opportunity to connect and to have fun with my students and co-workers alike. When I am not with my class, you might find me hanging out with my two beautiful daughters, Alexandra and Caitlin, spending time with my siblings, meeting up with my good friends, or playing with my amazing dogs, Olive and Hazel (who look a little bit like Ewoks). I also love reading a good book while sipping on a delicious cup of tea or coffee, crafting and painting, going to movies, going to interesting shops and markets and going on travel adventures (I love the mountains!). I have always loved kids, and discovered later in life that teaching was my passion. My goal is to create a fun and safe learning environment for your child, and to foster their independence, sense of responsibility and love of learning to prepare them for their upcoming grade. I couldn't ask for a better job than teaching! |
